The next batch of completed vehicles & infantry

More meat for the grinder.

Here is the latest shotgun blast of the semi random units painted. Most of a Marik Militia lance consisting of a Hetzer, Vedette and Ontos, a lone Drillson for my Turtles mercenaries, and a Hetzer & mechanized infantry platoon for my Dust Devils mercenaries (who already at company strength have oddly not made it onto this blog yet). 

The Ontos is a Marik staple, gotta have one! Also, in the Lostech era, like the fusion variant of the Ontos, Marik also has fusion powered Vedettes which are borderline MBTs. The Hetzer...well, it is probably the vehicle equivalent of the Urbie for me (i.e.: The more the merrier & every faction should have at least one!). Also, my Hetzer collection is in numbers coming close to rivaling my Urbie collection!

Behold, the Dust Devils! Most units in the unit resemble that of the APC for the mechanized infantry. 

I hadn't painted anything for them in quite a while, forgot what I was doing and more or less wrecked the Hetzer's paint job. Rather than strip/reprime it, I just ran with it. Painting mechanicus grey over the bare plastic, and added some more to go with it. Speaking of...

...some Hetzers live charmed lives. Others on the other hand, don't. The Dust Devil' Hetzer looks like it has gone thru a few barroom brawls and somehow made it out the other side.  

Lastly: the Turtles. My Lyran based, assault weight all conventional armor mercenaries. Their lightest weight unit prior to this is a lone Manticore. Well, now they have a viable recon element and being Lyrans, they have the heaviest possible one!

There is currently another half dozen or so tanks and my last mechanized platoon on my desk currently. In case you are wondering, that also includes more Hetzers (yes, plural).
